Idiocy of the Day: The Guardian goes crazy over a blog in English by a lesbian with US-Syrian joint citizen because... well she's a Syrian-American lesbian who writes in English. Apparently the blog has 'shot to prominence' and 'is capturing the imagination of the Syrian opposition'. This is all despite the fact that a simple check of her blog statistics would tell you it's had a mere 9,500 views in its history. It may be capturing YOUR imagination Guardian but almost all Syrians have never heard of it. Learn the difference. But then again the US media seem convinced that the Syrian uprising has all been organised by some Syrian guy living in Washington DC.
