I don't believe this though. I'm sure commanders have made it clear to the rank and file officers that if things don't go to plan they will lose their careers. Never expect any support from the police. I like this bit though "It's not for a bunch of anarchists, it's families, students, old people..." as if old people, students and people with families cannot be anarchists.
