Egyptian uprising... 2009

This is a video from the 2009 protests in the Ghazl Al-Mahalla textile plant where 27,000 workers went on strike against low pay (most lived on below $1,000 a year), broken promises from management and the banning of trade unions. After over a year of struggle and attacks by Mubarak's goons they got some of their demands met and their union was recognised. According to the Western media, this never happened.
